Local version of the bitches?

I got to know of this when I saw its ping at PPS.  The first thing came to my mind was- the bitches has come to Malaysia ar?  And I read on, I laughed.  Because I was wrong, so dead wrong.

It seems like Bolehland is pretty desperate to make its mark, to gain fame in the blogosphere.  I never investigate though, how popular is that site now, but I would place my bet that the blog won’t reach cult status.  Please prove me wrong.

Why am I betting the way I’m betting?

One.  The site is booorrriiinnngggg…… Just compare the bitches and bolehland, and you can see which ‘review’ blog is more vibrant in terms of layout.  No need to talk about the review approach lar… One is short and direct to the point.  The other is long and dares to write on all that is nitty gritty.  One makes you wanna read on, the other is tiring to read on.  Which is which, go figure…  And Bolehland is also too polite.  Is that the ‘spirit’ of being Malaysian, mesti bersopan santun, dan bertata susila?  Don’t make me vomit please…

Two. The bitches were easy: you submit your blog, and they will review (at least that’s what it’s used to).  Bolehland however, seems tedious:

“If you would like to get your blog reviewed, kindly send an e-mail to Nix (nix [at] bolehland [dot] org) complete with information about you, your blog and a link to your blog.”

Good lar… what’s written will be at least 50% part of the review liao.

And now, bolehland ask for ppl to join in the reviewer team.  And summore have to write an essay of 100 words.  And there are only two available positions.  What you think?  A job interview mer?  and summore no pay wan.  You think what?  Try to employ and work ppl up for free ar?  There’s no such thing as free lunch dear…

Three.  The bitches are like… a good stage show that lets the audience laugh and have a good time and leave the show smiling.  Bolehland is like theatre which require audience participants, where it’s just tiring to be part of the program.  Actually, come to think of it, bolehland is like some direct-selling scam… must do this, must do that.  And bolehland summmore dare to ask ppl to write on topics that they give…  Wahhhh!  A newbie blog and start demanding liao?  Can go fark yourself upside down lar.

Four. One has a macro vision, the other, pea-sized vision.  I mean, come on, if you gonna review Malaysian blogs, how long can you last ar?  In the long run, you will end up reviewing all those small unnoticable Malaysian blogs, and they will in turn post an entry in their blog, saying that they kena reviewed… and that’s it!  End of story.  How many times can this cycle be repeated?  A few hundred times perhaps before the whole thing got worn out.  I mean, even now, Bolehland has already broken its rule by reviewing blog from Minyakland.

I shall end at four, because four means die in Cantonese, and that’s what I think of Bolehland at the moment.  Again, let me say this: Prove me wrong!

p.s. You know what, bolehland… you just got reviewed?
