New Year contest

December 23, 2006

OK…. Before 2006 comes to an end, I’m gonna give out the second gift- New Year present!

Now, I don’t know if I’m mention before, but I have great love for films. So much so, that this time round, this contest will feature what I consider one of the greatest films I’ve ever watched…

Just tell me, what film these screenshots below are from:

The prize? SGD50.

This competition opens to BLOGGERS of Malaysia and Singapore only. The first fella who email me the correct answer AND your address AND your blog url at that.bottle@gmail.com will win.  If somehow, your email end up in my spam basket, all I can say is, too bad, so sad, coz I trash my spams all the time without any consideration…

Again, I’ll be mailing the cash over. So there’s always a risk of the prize money not getting through, don’t hold me responsible for that.

This time round, I’ll release the name of the winner, and his/ her blog url after the contest ends.  And of course, there’s a chance where no one knows the answer.

This contest will run till 31/12/06.

Christmas gift, courtesy of bottle

December 16, 2006

In the true spirit of Christmas, I’m gonna give away $10.

Yes, cold hard cash…. $10!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahaha

All you got to do is email me your mailing address to that.bottle@gmail.com.  That’s it.  It’s open to u gorgeous ppl in Malaysia or Singapore only.

My only criteria- whoever email me first will get it.  If it’s a Singapore address, it’s SGD10.  If it’s a Malaysian address, it’s RM10.

Now, here’s the thing,  I’ll be mailing the cash over.  Yup! The actual 10 ringgit/ dollar note.  I was told that we should not mail cash.  But can that be done?  Will the mail get deliver? I don’t know.  But I’m going to try.  And since it’s Christmas, I’m in the mood to give.  If it gets through, good for you.  If it doesn’t, too bad then…

So yup, that’s it. Email me your address, and the first one to do so will get 10 ringgit/ dollar.

p.s.  Of course, it comes with T&C, which is, you unconditionally allow me to stalk you. Buahahahahah… does that worth the money?

p.s.s. This is not a prank post.  I’ll do exactly what’s mentioned here.

p.s.s.s. Kidding lar…. you think I so free to stalk ar?

p.s.s.s.s. Though I ask for your address, for God’s sake, include your name as well, even if it’s a pseudonym.  At least I know who’s getting it…  I’ll publish your name here though, and if you have a blog, do permit me to link to your blog.  In fact, take a photo with the note…hahahaha

p.s.s.s.s.s. And for God’s sake, do not email me any query.  Me not going to entertain… Just email me your address, and if you are lucky no. 1, you’ll get it…

p.s.s.s.s.s.s. Nothing more, just feel like p.s.-ing…..hahaha

Hello world!

June 20, 2006

I'm now here!!

Reposting my last entry from my previous blog.

Blogging started off as a one-way communication thing.
Then, we have comments from readers.
And other bloggers began blogging in respond to certain posts. That is, as good as those posts are in fashion (such as Kennysia making fun of himself, Peter Chai going botak, XiaXue offending Malaysians, and others).
And then there were the meme posts. Those entries are as good as people continue on doing those meme. I myself have a fair share of creating my own meme (10-word-meme and its sub-sequel meme).

Now, I'm going ahead with this idea I shall call: Message In a Bottle.

The idea is pretty simple. It's based on questions such as: How many times have you wanted to tell someone something badly, but without the person knowing? How you wish to ask someone a question, without revealing your identity? How you wish you ask something and get a sincere answer, by not being the one asking the question?

So this is what you can do:

1) My email is that[dot]bottle[at]gmail[dot]com. Remember that, you'll need it.
2) Open an email editor, and put the subject as "I want to send a message in the bottle."
3) In the email, include the intended receiver's email. If you don't have the receiver's email, send me the person's blog or something so that I can TRY to track the person, but no promise.
4) Then, write your letter/ questions/ complains/ or whatever. Please write it in such the way that you've intended the receiver to read it. (Do NOT write: Bottle, can you ask that stupid girl why she ignores me because I'm fat, since she's fat as well… >.<"")

5) I will then send an email to the email address that you've given, with this format:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To: [email given]
Subject:
You got a message in a bottle
Text:
Hello.
I'm bottle and I'm sending you this email as part of
this project. This is the message intended for you: [Message]
I surely appreciate your reply. You can respond by explaining, or by asking questions back to the anonymous sender. Note that your reply will be forwarded to the anonymous sender. Thus, it's your choice to respond.
Sincerely,
bottle
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

6) If I get a respond, I'll send it back to you.
7) If I don't get a respond, all I can say is, try to forget about it, or else, approach the person directly to ask and see if you get a respond.
8) Important: I might post some of the emails here at this blog, with identity deleted that is. I believe in sharing, so let's share ok? :p
9) Note: This is not an Aunty/ Uncle Agony service, so don't email me to ask me for advice. This is also not a "Search for Missing Person" service, so don't expect me to track down on your missing loved ones.

So, do you want to send a Message in a Bottle?

p.s. Any suggestion or comment or question welcomed.
p.s.s. But for God's sake, don't post your email in the comment box. please refer to 1) for my email add.

"Message in a bottle often refers to someone putting in a piece of written paper in a bottle, and throwing it off to the sea…hoping that someone will pick it up and read it…"
